Amritsar was founded in 1577 by a Sikh guru, the name translating to "the tank of nectar of immortality". The vintage finding that makes up the Amritsar earring is vaguely reminiscent of the twisted turbans worn by male members of the Sikh religion, one of the many that co-exist peacefully in this pluralist city at the border of India and Pakistan.

Vintage costume jewelry finding. Available with either gold-plated post or gold-tone clip-on; choose one from the drop-down menu below. About 1 inch long.
